On the Platform

 

I was there to go where. It was full of speculation, and almost nothing remained. We say it is easy everyday life.

The fast pace of city life can lead to missed moments and unobserved surroundings. The collision of cultures and compression of people is both exciting and overwhelming. I find elements of 

nature creeping amongst the imposing  atmosphere through the Platform . I sift through the hustle and bustle, ready to record the lives unfolding before them. 

I represent unique perspectives  on the platform, and people who make these thriving metropolises dynamic and fascinating.

In Kafka's novel, The Metamorphosis, there is an interesting description of people's daily life.

The face of going to work and the face of leaving work are equally tired and endure a day without hope of getting better with the hope that tomorrow will be better. The day that Gregor 

Samsa  had to endure is now a persistent repetition at this moment.

We must constantly break through the barrier we have created. Broken connections, incessant reconfiguration.

 

 

 

 나는 어디로 가려고 거기 있었나. 추측만 가득하고 사실이란 것은 거의 남아 있어 보이지 않았다. 우리는 손쉽게 일상라고 말한다.도시 생활의 빠른 속도는 놓쳐버리는 순간과 관측되지 않는 풍경으로 스쳐 지나가 버릴 수 있다.  문화의 충돌과 사람들의 압박은 흥미롭고 압도적이다. 나는 Platform을 통해  부과 된 환경속에서 들어온 자연의 요소를 발견한다. 그리고 번영하는 대도시의 역동적이고 매혹적인 사람들 에 대한 독특한 전망을 그린다.나는 이제 허슬을 뚫고 떠돌며 자신 앞에 펼쳐지는 삶을 기록 할 준비를 한다.

카프카의 소설 <변신>에는 당시 사람들의 일상을 엿볼 수 있는 흥미로운 묘사가 있다. 출근하는 얼굴과 퇴근하는 얼굴이 똑같이 피곤에 절어 있고 내일은 좀 더 나아지리라는 희망을 품은 채 더 나아질 것 없는 하루하루를 견디며 산다. 그레고르 잠자가 견뎌야 했던 하루가 지금 이 순간에도 끈질기게 되풀이된다.

우리는끊어진 연결들을 끊임없는 재구성을 통해서 자신이 만들어 놓은 방어벽을 끊임없이 깨고 들어가야 한다.
